Wednesday, December 4th, 2019 “Before anything great is really achieved, your comfort zone must be disturbed, it’s the only way it works.”
Ok an even more exciting day.
We had breakfast at Joe & The Juice - it is fantastic by the way, vegan smoothies, oat milk, and avocado toast for all you health nuts.
Made our way to SCOPE Art Fair quickly, talked to quite a few artists to inform them about Art Vancouver, but had to leave to get to the convention centre to speak to Art Basel Cities.
Literally running to get there in time since there was so much traffic around the convention centre. The meeting was in the Collectors Lounge, but you need passes to get in and they hadn’t given us anything to show for. Luckily we saw who we were supposed to meet so the lady escorted us in and realized we really did have a meeting so all was well in the world.
It was a fabulous meeting!! I can’t wait to work with them. It will be huge for us as an organization and even better for Vancouver. So many exciting things happened! However it will still take a few years to see the results.
Afterwards since we were already at Art Basel we looked around. Some pretty crazy stuff. Very large venue as well we didn’t get to everything.
Then we thought about going back to Scope or Aqua (Art Fairs) but they were fairly far and we were quite tired so we decided to have dinner then head home to do some more work before we go to bed and wake up and do it again!
These trips sure take it out of you because you are so energized in the day that by sundown you’re ready to pass out. Way more exhausting than a super intense workout. The adrenaline is rushing through your body 24/7! Especially since we are speaking to so many people in the day. It is very nice to see our improvement over the years though, not nearly as shy as we used to be. In fact we are quite over it because we want to share the opportunity with everyone!
Night my loves see you tomorrow :)
