2017 Book List

Sunday, Dec. 10.2017

Hi All! One of my 2017 goals was to read a book a month. In august I realized I had only ready 4 books... This is when I realized its great to set goals but you have to make a plan for a goal, otherwise it is just a wish. So I found 8 other books that I would like to read - most of the books I like to read are about personal development. From there I literally planned out how many days I had to read each book and how many pages a day from each one.

I got a few new books for my birthday in September so my list had changed, but I basically just substituted the new ones in for the old ones (in the time slot that I had allotted for them so it wouldn't mess up my days.)

Obviously things change, I spontaneously went to London for a month and didn't do as much reading as I would have if I was home, then Sam I Am passed... :( So I was in California for a couple days and didn't do any reading while I was there.

So some days I just have to sit and catch up on what I missed. It's funny because I used to hate reading but now that I can take away something valuable from each page and have grown so much as an individual I am addicted. You guys might not notice but it's my mentality that I'm working on. And man oh man I feel like another person. I believe we should be working towards a better self EVERYDAY!!

It is so important to do the things you love, don't worry about money. Believe that it will come and it does. Yes sometimes I would like it to come a little sooner, but I would rather be spending my time doing what I love everyday then working at some regular job just to get paid. Because realistically the only thing we have in this world is time, and time is now. SO ENJOY YOUR NOW!

I believe that when you do what you love others can feel that and will eventually hire you for your service, and the more you love it the better you are and the more you can trade it for!

Ok enough ranting. Here are my books for 2017

  1. Public Speaking - Dale Carneige

  2. Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill

  3. Shoe Dog - Phil Knight

  4. The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle

  5. The 4-Hour Workweek - Tim Ferris

  6. Will Power - John Tierney and Roy Baumeister

  7. Your Greatest Power - KOHE

  8. The Power of Positive Thinking

  9. Start With Why - Simon Sinek

  10. The Tipping Point - Malcom Gladwell

  11. Choose Happiness - JohnSamual Gray

  12. The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho

Currently I have read 1-9 and simultaniously working on 10 & 12. Once I finish 10 I will be on to 11 and finish reading 12 on the plane to Cabo!!! The Alchemist is on my kindle so I read that when I'm out of the house. I asked for a kindle for my birthday since reading never goes out of style as apposed to some new clothes :)

I highlight in my books and then make notes of what I've highlighted afterwards, so If you're interested in book summaries I will be posting them on here to save you all some time but still get the important info from all of these amazing books!!!

To clarify I will not be summarizing the books, I will simply be posting what I have highlighted from the book. So hopefully it all makes sense to you, and will inspire you to read the books for yourself!!

Message me if you have any questions! xoxo
